Seattle trip

I haven't updated in a really long time. 

Sorry. 

However I have a sort of large update.

Tino and I went to Seattle from March 6-9. It was a lot of fun! 

Most of the stuff has to do with beer and food.

opportunity?

Life is an open road. I've been on the same road for my whole life. 

That might change soon. 

There's a turn up ahead that I'm not sure I can or will take. 

If I'm allowed to make that turn, how long do I have to decide if I will or not?

I think I'm ready to go in a different direction. 

Why should I be afraid to follow my instincts?

I'm ready to take my life in a new direction. 

But I want him to go along for the ride. I want him to come. 

I want him to be there for me, like I'm there for him. 

I want us to start a new journey together.

We'll see what happens.

I brought cupcakes to work today for Monique's birthday. 

I bought her a drink from coffee bean,

and I didn't get the flowers I wanted to :(

But I did get them today after work. 

Then when she came in she surprised me with an early birthday present. 

Below are a Jack Skeleton bobble head and socks! She also burned me season 3 of Dexter, so  now I can catch up! 

 

And on a lower note, I've been getting migraines lately. 

It might only be when I need real food, but I don't understand why

I need to go through that much pain to figure out that I need food!  

 

Weekend of Love

This is what the weekend consisted of for Tino and I 

He arrived early Saturday morning with these beautiful flowers! 

 

White roses are my favorite. I was very surprised, and at the same time incredibly excited that he got me flowers! 

We at lunch at Mi Piace in Pasadena and I made a heart out of my left over salad.

 
 

This morning I made a huge breakfast for us. Blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage. Then we took a ride to the observatory. That was way too busy so we went to a little park area on the hill and hand a picnic lunch there while listening to some Johnny Cash. 

 

We took the top off Tino's jeep on the way home to enjoy the sunlight.

 

The end of the day consisted of me giving a key to my apartment to Tino, making cupcakes for dessert and cooking this amazing dinner. I probably liked it more than he did, but that's okay! 

I made a BLT Steak, baked potato, some crusty bread and a little wine for myself. 

 

 

We ended the night with some french vanilla with chocolate frosting cupcakes. 

Pretty much best weekend so far this year!

February flowers won't blossom

February hasn't been what I thought it might

It's a lot harder than I'd hoped for. 

There are more unhappy challenges

and I'm not sure if I'm up for them. 

There's a lot to look forward to at this point though

1. Valentine's Day is near, and I said directly I want flowers

2. I have President's Day off for the first time since High School

3. So many people's Birthdays this month, celebrations! 

4. Including mine...and I'm going on a San Diego beer trip for it! 

5. Seattle with Tino in less than a month, though my friend won't be there so I don't get to visit her, but I'll make do.

I am not permanent

I live by myself 
and while on a daily basis it's awesome
There are times when I wish I had some company. 
This week I feel like I'm getting a good amount 
of welcomed visitors to my abode. 
Tonight one of my dear friends is staying over
On Saturday my aunt and family 
will come to see the place since they haven't yet. 
And after they're done Doll Face (Kira)
will be coming over too! 

I love living by myself
there's a different sense of freedom
but I also enjoy the occasional visitor. 
when I eventually have my own house
I would love to have dinner parties. 
And more specifically beer dinner parties. 
I love the idea of a potluck
but I love the idea of a Beer-luck more. 
Everyone brings a beer to get in
And in that way everyone learns something 
One of very few reasons I want to make more money. 

For now, I'll have a great time
with my apartment visitors. 

The state of my union

95% of the time I won't write about work. 
I won't comment on my job
or how my day went while at the office
The main reason being I prefer to forget about it
especially by the time I get home. 
today will get mentioned for certain reasons. 
I believe that I respect about half of management 
and of of those managers that i don't respect
has pushed themselves to the limit. 

This trait isn't just part of a manager's personality
it's a part of people nobody will admit to
which is exactly the problem. 
We've been raised so that if we're wrong or

if we do something wrong 
it's bad. 
Well what happened to teaching people
to own up to their own mistakes? 
It's ridiculous when people take the easy way out
and blame other people for what they did wrong
or what they could have prevented themselves. 
I'm tired of people/managers pawning off 
their own mistakes on other people. 

It's time to grow some balls
and stand up for yourself 
and what you've done.

They're both a fruit

I love oranges. 
If I had to choose a fruit
for the rest of my life
I'd pick oranges. 
But every now and then 
I could go for a juicy red apple.
